Counterpart's $50 million raise funding balance sheet push, CEO Hackett says underwriters are building their own AI agents

Counterpart has raised $50 million in Series C funding, led by returning investors Valor Equity Partners and VY Capital. The raise will fund a first-time push into retaining risk on its own balance sheet through Counterpart Insurance Company, while scaling a company-wide agentic AI infrastructure built and validated by its own underwriters.
